WHO ARE WE?
Basketball Québec is the organization that governs the discipline of basketball in Quebec. It has been incorporated as a non-profit organization since 1970 and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected at the Annual General Meeting. The Board's mission is to represent, guide and administer the affairs of the Federation.
The daily administration of the organisation is carried out by permanent and contractual employees under the supervision of the Director General. On the operational level, the Federation organizes several provincial, national and international events. Several basketball fans participate annually in the Federation's various sanctioned tournaments and events. From the Summer Festival to the Autumn Festival, there is something for everyone.
The Federation also cares about the technical development of its members, which is why it invests a lot of effort in the training of coaches and athletes. The National Coaching Certification Program is offered to all interested coaches annually. Through the National Arbitration Committee, the Federation oversees the supervision and training of more than 700 Quebec officials per year.
The Quebec Basketball federation has more than 50,000 members across the province who share "the passion of basketball".
