QUEBEC'S ESPOIRS

The Regional Espoirs constitute a very broad base serving as a level of detection and identification of athletic talent. It is the entry level into the excellence process. This level is intended to be the first step in identifying talent and potential athletes for progression into the excellence programs. The focus is on the development of basic skills, the acquisition of a positive learning environment and the integration of team concepts.

This first level of the Program of Excellence is for athletes aged 13 and under born in 2009-2010. The training camp is followed by participation in a few competitions including the Basketball Quebec Summer Festival. The regional teams will also compete in the finals of the Quebec Games in Rimouski in 2023. This first level will be for 14 years old athletes born in 2008-2009. The training camp is followed by several competitions including the Summer Festival and will end with the Quebec Games in Laval in 2022.
