History
The Quebec Basketball Federation is the disciplinary board for basketball in the province. Incorporated in 1970, our non-profit organization is headed by a board of directors comprised of volunteers elected in our annual general meeting. The mandate of the board of directors is to represent, guide and manage the Federation.

The daily administration of the organization is carried out by permanent and contractual employees working under the direction of the general manager. As per its operational plan, the Federation oversees the organization of numerous national- and international-calibre events. Each year, more than 5,000 players take part in the various tournaments and events run by the Federation. From our Fall Festival to the Provincial Championships -- with a stop in between at the Montreal International Festival – we offer something for every basketball fan and for players of all levels.

The Federation is committed to developing the skills and techniques of its members. With this in mind, we have invested heavily in the training of athletes and coaches. Each year, some 250 coaches benefit from taking the National Coaching Certification Program. Working in conjunction with the National Referee Committee, the Federation also offers training and certification to some 500 officials across the province annually.

Standing some 35,000-members strong, The Quebec Basketball Federation is helping stoke the passion for basketball in the four corners of the province.
